Gwen would wish for her best friend Peter, the one from her reality, to be alive again. She accidentally killed him when he'd changed himself into the Lizard to be strong like her. The experimenting on himself backfired, and he couldn't control the monster, leading Gwen to fight him off at Homecoming without knowing it was him. In the melee, she nearly brought the whole school gym down on top of him. His death broke her and caused her to keep people at a distance for a long time until she fell into the multiverse and met Miles. If Peter could come back to life, that guilt for killing him would still linger, but she still wants to see him again. She's met so many Peters since traveling the multiverse, but they will never be her lost best friend. And she wishes he could see that he was special. Maybe in their universe, he’d not been Spider-Man, but in her world, he’d been the best Peter.
 

Being a drummer, Gwen is particularly drawn to good music with catchy drum beats. John Bonham from Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest drummers of all time. Because of this, any Led Zeppelin song might do, but the catchiest and one that would get her the most interested would be the "Immigrant Song". It might not be the song with the best drum solo of John Bonham: "Moby Dick", but it is a song that catches your ear and draws you in. It is also a pretty epic fight song, so I could see Gwen easily humming it in the middle of a fight or even listening to it on some headphones while swinging around New York City. It’s got an energy to it that hypes you up, and it would have her idly strumming the beat without even thinking about it. So if she were to hear it, it would be very likely to lure her in.
         

5. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.

The one person that Gwen would follow anywhere is Miles Morales. She's already shown she is willing to leap into the multiverse again to find him. While she's never said it, Gwen loves Miles. She cares for him deeply, and after the events of Across the Spider-Verse, she carries heavy guilt for lying to him about the potential of his father dying in his Universe. She's ready to do anything to make that right. He might never forgive her for keeping that from him, but Gwen is still willing to find a way to him and to help him save his father, despite the fear that he may never want anything to do with her again. So if Miles ever came to her and told her that she needed to leap into another realm, she'd do it without a thought. She’s come to realize that Miles is the best of them, of the Spider-People. He was willing to fight to prevent a terrible future in a way the other Spider-People in the Spider-Society were unwilling to do. He wasn’t going to sacrifice someone’s life just on the idea that it was needed to keep reality together without at least looking for another way. Gwen realizes that she'd lost her way and Miles helped her see that truth.

Gwen is Spider-Woman in her universe, and that comes with all the same powers as outlined here. Generally, she has super strength, speed, agility, is especially durable, can crawl on walls, and senses danger with her spider-senses so that she can avoid/anticipate trouble.

The animal that Gwen would turn into as a familiar is most often a spider, and specifically a pink tarantula (cw: pic of spider). There also might be certain times, like times of severe stress, where some spider qualities might manifest while she's still in her human form. This might be something as simple as her eyes turning black or even growling multiple eyes or limbs, and getting a bit more pink and fuzzy. 
Role Reasoning: 
Gwen is a hero and has many qualities that would land her in the Legend role, but after the events of Across the Spider-Verse, she's feeling especially uncertain that she's living up to what it means to be a hero, leaving her in more of a limbo of how she feels about herself as a person. She's already felt pretty uncertain after the death of Peter Parker in her universe prior to the first film, so this has put her on even more uncertain footing. After losing Peter, she'd distanced herself from people, until meeting Miles in his universe. But she learns that her own father and Miles' were both in danger of dying due to Canon Events (events that have happened or must still happen in most universes that form the web of life and destiny that intertwines the Spider-Verse), and yet chose not to tell Miles and avoided going back home for months in fear of it. Trying to stop Canon Events could lead to the collapse of universes and the entire Spider-Verse, but it still felt wrong to keep it from Miles and not even try to find another way. So she's incredibly guilty for staying silent. Just as she told Miguel as he forcibly sent her back to her universe,  "we are supposed to be the good guys." She is trying to live up to the standard of being a hero, and at the end of the movie forms a rebel team to go find Miles and help him, so she's on her way. Having her in the Familiar role in Folkmore will lead to some interesting in turmoil in her, that I would like to explore because as it would confirm for her that there are some things she needs to work on within herself.

• What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?

The most traumatic experience, Gwen has ever suffered is the death of her friend Peter Parker. She feels greatly at fault for his fate. He experimented on himself solely so that he could be strong like her and help her fight as Spider-Woman, only for Peter to turn himself into the Lizard and try to kill Ned Leeds at Prom. As Spider-Woman she had to fight him, not knowing it was Peter. It resulted in part of the gym falling down on him in their battle and killing him in the process. Not only did she lose her closest friend, but her father who's a police captain made it his mission to track down Spider-Woman for killing his daughter's best friend. So in conjunction with losing Peter, she also grew distant with her father. This led her to be distant with almost everyone and reluctant to make new friends until she met Miles and the other Spider-People in the Multi-Verse. However, she's still incredibly scarred by that loss and fears it happening again.

• What experience challenged your character's core beliefs? How did they handle this or change from it?

After being recruited to the Spider-Society by Miguel and Jessica Drew, Gwen started to seriously question what it means to be a hero. In order to protect the Multi-Verse she was told in no uncertain terms that it would require the deaths of many people close to Spider-Men, Spider-Woman, and other Spider-People throughout the universes. And those deaths included her own father and Miles Morales' father. Being a hero should mean saving people and not just letting them die, especially those she loves, This is a conflict that she's still dealing with, as she tries to find a way not to just let those deaths happen. Her belief had always been that she was the good guy and all the other Spider-People were too, but they were all letting this happen and trying to stop Miles from escaping to save his own father. Seeing that struggle finally broke her out of simply accepting what Miguel had told them. When she went home and spoke to her dad, he'd quit the force-- thus avoiding the Canon Event of his death, which made her even more certain that helping Miles was the right course of action. 

• What does your character feel like they struggle with still? Where could they improve? This could be physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise.

Gwen knows that she's got a problem with pushing people away. After Peter's death, she'd distanced herself from everyone: from her dad, from her bandmates, and anyone else who might have wanted to be her friend. Then learning about Canon Events and the likelihood that she'll only continue to lose people as that's just how it is for Spider-People across all universes, that feeling has been reinforced because she doesn't want to lose one more friend. With meeting Miles, Peter B. Parker, Hobie, and the other Spider-People she's learning how much she needs people around and wants them despite her fears, but she's still scared. That fear kept her from being honest with Miles out of worry of losing him, and she ended up losing him anyway because of her perceived betrayal. At the end of Across the Spider-Verse she's already trying to push past that, pulling together a 'Spider-Band' (Hobie, Penny, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Noir, Spider-Ham, Pavitr, and Margo) to go help Miles. So it's something that she can overcome, but that fear still lingers, and it may prevent her from admitting her feelings to those she cares about, like Miles, despite her attempts to save him.

• What is your character's safespace? When do they feel the most settled and comfortable? When do they feel confident and relaxed?

Gwen's safe space is music. She was in a band back home, 'The Mary Janes', and when she plays she can lose herself in the drums and pours her emotions into her playing. She loves it and uses it as an outlet. When she was in the midst of her grief over Peter and from the feeling of renewed loneliness after returning to her own universe after meeting Miles and the other Spider-People, she lashed out at the band and pushed away that safespace. Because at that point even playing couldn't keep her from that grief. But when she eventually partnered with Hobie Brown on missions for the Spider-Society she was able to come back to that safespace as Hobie loves music and plays as well. In that way Hobie became something of a safespace for her too as he understands her in a way not many do, even Miles. He looks out for her. He's even said that he's got to 'look out for his drummer' when asked why he's even in the Spider-Society despite being anti-establishment. So being able to play the drums and having others to play with will always be something she'll fall back on when she has it.
